Video Editing and Production Services

YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE THE FOOTAGE.

We turn interviews, presentations, product demonstrations, and disorganized footage into clear, persuasive marketing videos your business can actually use.

You don’t need to know what should be kept, what should be cut, or how many videos you need.

That’s what we help you determine.

A practical, no-pressure conversation about what you have, what you need and what your footage could become.

The Footage Exists. So Why Isn’t It Helping Your Business?

Perhaps you recorded an interview, presentation, product demonstration, testimonial, or company event with every intention of turning it into marketing content.

Then the files accumulated.

Some may have been partially edited. Others are scattered across hard drives, phones, and online folders.

You know there may be something valuable in there—but you’re not sure where to begin.

You may be wondering:

  • Is the footage good enough to use?

  • Is there a clear story hidden inside it?

  • Do we need one video or a coordinated series?

  • What belongs on our website, social media, or sales pages?

  • Will we have to record everything again?

  • How much will it cost to finish properly?

  • Will the finished videos accomplish anything useful

The problem usually isn’t a lack of footage.

It’s a lack of clarity about what the footage contains, what your audience needs to understand and how the material can support your marketing.

Before You Record More, Find Out What You Already Have

Many businesses assume the next step is another production day.

Sometimes it is.

But before you spend more time and money recording new material, it makes sense to determine whether your existing footage already contains:

  • A strong company or brand story

  • A clear explanation of your service

  • A useful product demonstration

  • Customer testimonials

  • Expert insights and educational content

  • Answers to common sales questions

  • Short clips for social media

  • Material for a complete marketing-video series

One interview, presentation, or demonstration may contain far more than one finished video.

The opportunity is recognizing the strongest ideas, extracting them and shaping them into assets that work together.

This Is More Than Video Editing

An editor can assemble clips.

The more valuable work is discovering the story inside the footage.

It requires understanding what your business does, what your audience cares about and what each finished video needs to accomplish.

At Moss Media Solutions, we combine strategic thinking, storytelling, and more than 20 years of production and post-production experience to transform scattered material into purposeful marketing communication.

The result isn’t simply a better edit.

It’s a coordinated collection of video assets designed to help people understand what you do, why it matters and what they should do next.

Introducing the Video Asset Builder™

Turn the footage you already have into marketing videos you can put to work.

The Video Asset Builder™ is for established businesses, professional service firms, manufacturers, product companies, coaches and consultants with valuable footage—but no clear plan for turning it into effective marketing.

Your material might include:

  • Interviews

  • Testimonials

  • Product demonstrations

  • Webinars

  • Presentations

  • Event recordings

  • Training material

  • Phone or webcam recordings

  • Behind-the-scenes footage

  • Partially completed video projects

  • A large, disorganized collection accumulated over time

You don’t need to organize everything before contacting us.

Helping you make sense of the material is part of the service.

From a Pile of Footage to a Practical Video Plan

1. We clarify the objective.

Before anything is edited, we determine what the videos must help your audience understand, believe or do.

A video intended to build trust requires a different story from one intended to explain a product, answer an objection or generate an enquiry.

2. We review the material.

We assess the footage, identify the strongest moments and determine what is usable.

We also flag anything missing, unclear or likely to weaken the finished result.

3. We find the story.

We look beyond individual clips to uncover the ideas, explanations and human moments that give the material meaning.

This is where disconnected footage begins to become a coherent message.

4. We design the video series.

Instead of automatically forcing everything into one long video, we recommend what should become:

A primary marketing video

A product or service video

A testimonial or case study

An educational video

A frequently asked question video

A collection of short social clips

5. We shape and finish the assets.

The selected material is edited into clear, professionally presented videos, with titles, music, graphics and calls to action where appropriate.

6. You put the videos to work.

You receive practical recommendations for using the finished assets in your existing marketing system—including your website, social media, email communication and sales process.

Don’t Have the Footage Yet?

That’s fine too.

You may know your business needs video but still be uncertain about:

Which videos to produce

What each video should say

Who should appear on camera

What needs to be recorded

How to prepare employees or customers

How much content can be captured in one production

How the finished videos will fit into your marketing

We can help you plan and organize a focused production designed to create several useful marketing assets at once.

Instead of arranging an expensive filming day and hoping something valuable emerges, we begin by defining the messages, stories and business objectives the production needs to capture.

Production services are available within Nova Scotia, with travel considered for appropriate larger projects. Editing services are available to clients anywhere.

Why Moss Media Solutions?

Video production technology has changed enormously.

The need for a clear story hasn’t.

For more than 20 years, Duncan Moss has worked in video, television, documentary production and post-production—helping shape complicated material into stories people can understand and remember.

His experience includes documentary filmmaking, television production, live video and business communication.

But the cameras and software aren’t the real advantage.

The advantage is knowing how to look at a collection of material, recognize what matters and turn it into something useful.

That means your project begins with your business and your audience—not with the equipment.

FAQS

Do I need to organize all my footage before contacting you?

No. You should have a general idea of where the files are, but you don’t need to review, label or organize everything first.

What if I don’t know whether the footage is usable?

That’s one of the first things we can assess.

Footage doesn’t always need to be perfect to be valuable. Strong content can sometimes be improved through careful editing, sound treatment, graphics, photographs or supporting footage.

If the material can’t reasonably produce the result you need, we’ll tell you.

Can you work with footage recorded on phones or webcams?

Yes, depending on the quality of the recording and how it will be used.

We’ll consider the image, sound, message and intended destination before recommending whether to edit the material or record something new.

Do you only edit footage you recorded?

No. We can work with footage created by your staff, another production company, customers, event organizers or other sources—provided you have permission to use it.

Can you create short social-media clips from a longer recording?

Yes. Interviews, webinars, presentations and demonstrations can often produce multiple shorter videos.

We won’t simply divide a long recording into arbitrary clips. We look for complete ideas that can stand on their own and still support the larger message.

How much does editing cost?

Projects generally begin at $1,500.

The final cost depends on the amount and condition of the footage, the complexity of the story, the number of finished videos, graphics, sound work, revisions and the strategic support required.
